If you don’t let anyone else make decisions for you, it’s a sign that the narcissist can never control you. They love to be in charge of everything, so they’re not going to just sit back and let anyone else control their lives. They want others to be puppets they can manipulate and use however they please.
Narcissists will try to control how you, dress how much money you make, who your friends are, and so on. They will try their best to get into your head and convince you that you should make all the decisions for both of you.
Narcissists want easy targets people who will let them make all the decisions and just do what they say without question. When you don’t let anyone else make decisions for you, you have all the power over what happens in your life.

Number 8: You don’t need the approval of others around you.
Narcissists constantly seek validation from others even if it means dragging everyone else down into the mud with them. You don’t need the approval of other people around you. In that case, it means you have confidence in yourself and your abilities. You are sure of who you are and what is important to you. This is a sign that you are in control of your life and yourself and that a narcissist can never control you.
When you’re in control of your own life, you know what makes you happy and how to get there. You don’t need someone else’s approval to tell you who you are and what makes you happy. You can always stand on your own and they can’t make you do things that don’t align with who you are.
